Production

Our coffee factory is one of the biggest and oldest factories in Holland. Nowadays, in order to produce and maintain the quality of our high-class coffee, we use the most modern equipment and advanced technologies. We started burning and grinding coffee around 1890 in a little Dutch village called Oostzaan. For that a special device - a ball and a plummet - was used. The ball was turned around above the open fire. We must say, that this device was a work of art and the "high-tech" of its time. Since then the factory is keeping step with the most advanced technologies.

The river Zaan is a part and parcel of the factory history. Coffee beans were delivered to the factory by boat till 1993. We use the best carefully selected coffee beans, which directly come to us from mainly Brazil plantations. Our coffee is produced - burnt, grinded and packed - in one factory and fully certified at the highest level. The production process is fully computerized. Since the process of coffee production is fully computerized, we can guarantee you the stable, high quality of Klaasse coffee, which is also based on strict, very tough Dutch and European standards.
